1What we collect
We collect the information you give us during setup (name, phone number, BVN), records of your transactions, and the messages you send to the Payrise chat. We do not see your other WhatsApp conversations.
2How we use it
We use your data to verify your identity, process payments, prevent fraud, provide support and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
3Who we share it with
We share data with our banking and payment partners, identity verification providers and regulators where required. We do not sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
4WhatsApp
Your messages to Payrise are delivered through WhatsApp and are also subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy.
5How we protect it
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, limit staff access to what their role needs, and require your PIN for every payment.
6How long we keep it
We keep transaction records for the period required by Nigerian financial regulations. Other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
7Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Email privacy@payrise.ng.
